ABOUT
ABOUT ME

I'm a Gen X'er, born and raised in Orange County, Ca. I grew up throwing rocks at my neighbors house and riding my BMX bike from city to city and not having any way of my parents getting ahold of me (I'm still here). The rule was to be home by dark or if I could hear my dad whistle "Robby, dinner". As I entered 8th grade I got into skateboarding and I learned how to surf. I surfed Trestles or 56th street most every morning before school all the way into college. While going to Fullerton College I got married to my one true love and have 4 children. God has blessed my life in so many ways.

WHAT I'VE DONE

I worked as a Customer Service Rep. for a home builder called "The William Lyon Co." in Newport Beach for 4 years. As the economy went into a recession in 1990, people on my team started to get laid-off. I lasted till the end but also was let go. At that time I decided to go back to school and finish my passion of being a Graphic Designer. Being the sole provider to my wife and 4 kids, I decided to get this accomplished as soon as possible so I went to Los Angeles Trade Technical College. I graduated with an AA and got my first job as an Art Director in Irvine, Ca. The rest is history.

WHAT I DO

My first job out of school as an Art Director really allowed me to get my feet wet quickly and off to a great start. I worked with a staff Photographer, Creative Director/Copywriter and other creatives in the fashion industry. I worked there for a little over a year then started to pursue other opportunities in the OC area. I worked at a few places before landing at Verizon Wireless HQ in Irvine, Ca. I worked as the sole In-House Graphic Designer in Marketing for 17 years supporting 212 retail stores. This was a dream job. Today I'm still having fun solving creative challenges and enjoying my life.
